Tip: If you need to batch copy events, see this article.
You can copy an event from two places:
- From the list of Events on the Events tab - click the three dot menu to the far right of the event line:
2. From inside the Event - click the three dots on top right and select Copy this event.
In the pop-up window, update the attributes for the new event you want to create. You can change the name, geography, timing, and also select which event details to include.
Click the Copy button at the bottom when complete and you will be taken to the newly created event’s Overview page.
New: Tactic-Level Date Editing When Copying Events
Previously, when copying events (single or batch), you could only adjust event-level start and end dates. Tactic dates would then shift forward the same number of days the event’s start date changed.
The problem:
Because months have different lengths, this often caused date misalignment. For example:
Original Q1 event: Jan 1 – Mar 31, with one tactic per month.
Copy to Q2 event: Event start changed to Apr 1 → All tactics shifted +90 days.
Result: Q2 event ended June 29 instead of June 30, and tactic dates were off by a day or more.
What’s changed:
Now, when copying events (single or batch), you can adjust tactic-level dates before copying.
-
Each tactic date field uses the Smart Date Picker, so you can:
Apply fiscal shortcuts (Quarter, Period, Half, Full Year)
Adjust individual tactic dates for accuracy
The event-level dates are now calculated automatically (“rolled up”) based on the tactic dates you set.
Why it matters:
More accurate copied events – no need to fix tactic dates afterward.
Better control – adjust each tactic to align exactly with desired timing.
Time savings – especially for events with multiple monthly tactics or uneven period lengths.
