We’re excited to introduce Advanced Copy Event Settings, a new option that makes event duplication more powerful and flexible.
Until now, only a limited set of fields carried over when you copied an event, and you often had to re-enter details like custom field selections, notes, and brief fields. We also didn't allow Allocated Budget (and Budget Name) to be copied. With this update, you can now choose to include any of these fields in the copy. See below for important details!
What’s New
When you copy an event (single or bulk), you’ll see a Fields to Copy section in the copy dialog. From here, you can select which details to bring over, organized into four groups:
- Tactic Details – Vendor, Tactic Description, RMC, PO, Custom Fields
- Notes & Files – Event Notes, Files, Links, Tactic Notes/Files
- Funding – Budget Name, Allocated Budget, PO (available if copying within the same team/fiscal year)
- Event Brief – Background, Objectives, Strategy, Tags, Job Number, Deliverables
By default, common fields like Vendor and Tactic Description are pre-checked, but you have full control to add more.
Benefits
Save time: Include fields that were previously excluded, eliminating manual re-entry.
Stay flexible: Create “template” events and selectively carry over details to build new events faster.
Ensure accuracy: Incompatible data (like budgets across fiscal years) is automatically disabled to prevent errors.
How to Use
- Select an event (or multiple) and choose Copy Event.
- In the dialog, open Fields to Copy and pick the details you want to include.
- Choose the destination team/year, confirm, and copy.

This feature is available now for all users with copy access. Give it a try!
