Track Key Commitments with Goals
Goals help you track important benchmarks or commitments that are not set up as Budgets in Shopperations.
Use Goals for retail media commitments, JBP targets, organization-level investment goals, or retailer-specific planning benchmarks. For example, if your team commits to spend $5MM with Kroger Precision Marketing, you can create a Goal to track progress toward that commitment.
How Goals Work
When you create a Goal, you define:
- Goal amount: the target you want to track, such as $5MM
- Date range or fiscal year: the time period that should count
- Goal criteria: the fields and values Shopperations should use to identify matching spend
- Owner and notes: optional context for your team
Shopperations compares the Goal amount to the allocated budget that matches your selected criteria and date range. Goals are designed for key benchmarks that are not tied to a specific budget, such as retail media commitments.
